Hurricane

Hurricane

Hurricane can produce more energy than energy produced by all the power plants in the Earth. Water vapor from ocean rises upward by the air that can produce storm. The storm becomes spinning vortex of water and air with the help of Earth's rotation. When the wind speed reaches 120km/hour it becomes Hurricane. Intense wind of hurricane causes water level of sea to rise. This is called Storm Surge. It is considered one of the most destructive elements of hurricane.

During the time of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the storm surge was 8.5 meter above sea level.
