Some asteroids have high possibility to collide with Earth in near future. One of them is named 2004 MN4. On April 13, 2029 that asteroid will fly past Earth 30000 km above ground. It will pass between Earth and geosynchronous satellite. So we can say it will be a close encounter.
But the threat doesn't end there. There is a half a km wide keyhole near the path of 2004 MN4 asteroid. Keyholes are the places in the space where Earth's gravity is little stronger. Keyholes can change the path of the asteroids and set them to a new course. If that asteroid passes through that keyhole, its course will be changed slightly. That slight change will make the asteroid to return 7 years later and hit the Earth resulting mass destruction.
